Star Stuff

"And we who embody the local eyes and ears and thoughts and feelings of the cosmos, we've begun, at last, to wonder about our origins. Star stuff, contemplating the stars organized collections of 10 billion-billion-billion atoms contemplating the evolution of matter tracing that long path by which it arrived at consciousness here on the planet Earth and perhaps, throughout the cosmos." Carl Sagan

Jelly fish photo taken at the Monterey Aquarium in CA. My how I love that place.

I have wanted to go to that aquarium for such a long time. One day... Outstanding photo. I love seeing these mirrored images from one part of the universe to another, jellyfish and stars. Beautiful. Just beautiful.

I know. Isn't it just the greatest? I've been a couple of times, but at first just went to be able to stay in that great hotel on the bay--the Monterey Plaza. I loved both.
The photo is so cool!

Teresa,
I hope you are able to fit it in to one of your journeys. And there is a great deal of wonderful wandering to do in that area. More access to seashore, especially in Pacific Grove, thank in many coastal spots. I'm so glad you like the photo. It is one of my favorites. The bed of black rocks really added to that ethereal element that the white jellies have. Star stuff came to mind back when this picture was made.
Hugs,
Chris

Linda,
When I visit that aquarium, time just slips away. So happy to know you have enjoyed it too! Somehow I have not noticed the Monterey Plaza. My stays are usually in nearby communities. I went to their website. Beautiful place and great views. Must have been really restful. Hope to get back to the area at some point soon for some time with friends, sea mist and the camera.
Hugs,
Chris

Beautiful photo and it makes me feel like I am at the aquarium, too:) Wouldn't it be fun to have a lighted aquarium full of jelly fish in your house?

BG,
At that aquarium it feels like visiting them at their house and it's a big one. One area has thousands of small fish (can't remember what kind right now, sardines possibly) swimming overhead. The different Jelly fish tanks are my favorite. So relaxing to watch them.
Hugs,
Chris
