There it was, her queue,
the sound of the curtains parting.
Then, just as she stepped out onto the stage,
the sound of the curtains parting.
Then, just as she stepped out onto the stage,
she felt her protective camouflage
begin to fade. Drat.
"Where', she wondered out loud,
'did I hide my bag of tricks."
Luckily the play revolved around
a girl wizard, and the audience
was expecting the unexpected.

Ah, a girl wizard. Expect the unexpected. I like that. :) Great little tale and image to illustrate.
Had a bit of fun with it over the holiday weekend. Back to work and a shift in focus. Hugs, Chris
And then the girl went completely blank like a deer in the headlights and she couldn't speak. Fortunately, her magical friend started talking for her and the class continued:) This is great...I think you should write and illustrate a book!!
BG,
Thanks for the reminder. Makes for a really fun addition to the tale. You only looked like a terrified deer for a little while. Once you caught your stride, you were grand! We were dropped from great heights without parachutes a lot in those days. Thinking of the helicopter ride from hell. :)
Hugs,
Chris
