Distant Cows

Cows from any distance make me smile, even when a bit blurry.

Thanks Jack,
Not as many cattle in that area of WA as I expected to see. There is more to explore so I may find a few the next time, and there will be a next time. And thanks for the personal photo notice. Kind of feels like its time to make a few little changes on the blog so I started there. Not sure what will follow but that's the fun part of anything isn't it?
Hugs,
Chris

Nice photo, but I have to tell you that I am terrified of cows. My dad raised them and rented his fields out for years in Oregon and Montana. One time I went down to the river (you had to go through the fields with the cows in them to get there) about dusk and upon my return they all surrounded me. I ran as fast as I could to get over the nearest fence and they all chased me and a few were grunting. Cows aren't the smartest of creatures, however, I think they knew exactly what they were doing! It took me a long time to get brave enough to go back to the river alone, but when I did, I carried a big stick with me!

BG,
This I did not know. I've known plenty of bulls to be aggressive, but I've never encountered cows being aggressive in quite that way. Have known some that were aggressive to be sure and have known herds to get spooked, but haven't ever had a bunch after me. Bless your heart, that would have scared me too.
Hugs,
Chris
