I woke to shadows and light;
each shape change of the covers
creating a new landscape
dreamily
reminding me of crop rows
planted straight and true.
Fortunately I got up
before the farm equipment arrived.
This, the last of a few vacation days, found me at the pivotal point where I'd almost forgotten what day it is and whats waiting at work. Near disconnection. Ah, but something wacky in computerdom placed tomorrows date in the corner of my screen. Not noticed until this afternoon, I had a few circle pacing moments of panic. It made farm equipment tending the shadow rows of the bedspread seem a "bit" less bizarre. Not sure if I should have taken more or LESS time off? Probably more...

So, my dear, what was it that led both of us to go the farming route today? :) I love it.
Really? I'll check it out now. I think my dream time was triggered by a lovely call from my aunt yesterday who resides in the ag area where I grew up, and a bit of yard work here in the land of vanishing vacation. Or...we are once more sailing with the same wind.
Love your poetry. I'm new to your site but have read the last half dozen entries and I really like the pace, the point of view: relaxed but insightful. Thank you.
Wild Bill,
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comments. Pleases me to know things feel relaxed as that's how I'm feeling when posting them. Really appreciate you taking the time to wade through a few on your first visit. Will be visiting your blog soon.
Chris
Beautiful! I'm glad you are back and it was great talking to you, too:)
BG,
Ditto, I loved having a chance to catch up with you and your clan. Looking forward to doing it again soon. And hopefully by that time I be back on a more regular basis.
Hugs and love,
Chris
