Handmade Papers

Inside the home of colorful pots (see earlier image) lives, among other things, an ever changing selection of handmade papers. Imagination ticklers, these. It could be interesting, following the travels of one sheet, beginning to end. Of course that would mean picking one to follow first. Now there is the hard bit. Hmmm.

I Love handmade paper. This stack is so pretty. Yes, that would be an interesting "journey." So many possibilities with just one sheet of paper. What a great thought, Chris.

This handmade paper is so beautiful. What lovely colours. I remember one of my friends once made paper at the art school, and it took such a long time, but the result was worth it.
Cheers

Teresa,
I love it too. Always interesting to touch, curl, fold, write on, paint... it feels so good. One of those sheets found it's way to our house. Not sure how the rest of it's journey will unfold yet.
Hugs,
Chris

Grethe,
Welcome. It is a long process. I tried doing small sheets years ago but my results were pathetic. Paper makers have my admiration. There was a China exhibit at the Seattle (Washington State) Museum of Art many, many moons ago. Chinese masters came with their tools and worked magic before our very eyes. One was a paper master and it was delightful to see the ancient techniques and beautiful results.

Thank you Martie,
They seem like Taos colors to me.
