Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! Be sure and search the tall grass
for those colorful surprises...

Rumor has it, the fellow who hides those special eggs
did such a good job he's plumb tuckered!

The photos above were taken a) in a shop in Sequim, WA whose name has gone to that mystical short term memory loss spot for now (I'll add it when said memory has been retrieved) and b) a bronze sculpture in the downtown park in Sandpoint, ID. They have a terrific farmers market on Saturdays!

Happy Easter to you, too! I love the photo of the bronze bunny...maybe he can send the warm weather our way!

I posted a comment and then I lost it. I do enjoy visiting here. I went to your 2009, Easter posting and thoroughly enjoyed reading about your grandparents. We were special to have had a childhood like that. I liked your bunny shots this year. Happy Easter to you, Chris. --Jack.

BG,
Ditto! That bronze bunny caught me by surprise that morning. I was walking along with my sights on the farmers market booths through the camera lens. Would have stepped right on him and gone down if Rick hadn't stopped me just in time. Thank goodness for those husbands of ours. Now about changing the weather...I'm guessing that would require a belly rub and special words. We'll work on it for next season. Would love an excuse to return.

Thanks Jack. Glad you caught the older Easter post. Seems that LinkWithin piece below each post is a good idea. Oddly, it has me re-reading my own posts once in awhile. Those early years were special in so many ways and I am grateful to have the memories. I don't write about my father much. I think all the other folks, those I write about, were working hard as counter balance to him. It really helped. I know you can relate, but for different reasons. Happy Easter cowboy.

I, too, returned to your post from 2009 and loved your descriptions and the photo is great! I posted once about my own trimming of the bangs for my first grade picture complete with the photo to illustrate. I love photos from our youth.

Teresa,
Those old photos are like holding magic. I love them too. It makes me laugh to think about how many of us out here couldn't resist the lure of those scissors. And bangs were such and easy target. People are likely paying a good deal of money to have those creative angles today. :) Glad you found Easter 2009.

I likened my own trim to the New York art gallery look :)

Ah, that cut would come at a high price. The perfect spot for an creative cut.

Love your bronze bunny! Sorry I'm late here but my blogroller's not picking up as it should. Teresa said she uses Google's reader so may have to look into something more efficient. Sorry to say, but I absolutely, totally, and completely hated bangs...think it was because I'd heard Ma had put a bowl on daddy's head for a trim and I didn't want a bowl on my head, not that anyone ever said there would be, but I just got it into my head...and that was that. Anyway, love your pics...thanks for sharing and hope you had a fabulous Easter!!
